Enforced sitting with a broken ankle is giving me renewed interest in my computer. I'm still making small daily weavings so your quotes really hit home and verbalize on what I am unable to put into words. How are your Tuesday classes going, you must have several under your belt by now. Wax paper and some of the coated with plastic ones might hold up in the wash and could even be fun to spin.

Thanks, Joy! I seem to crave lots of sparkle in my life now and these beads add such shine and FUN to the socks.

Hi Janice: I pre-strung the beads on the yarn. I just did the math: these are the large size (co 75 sts). There are 11 repeats around. The pattern repeat is 4 rows with one bead row (11 beads) per pattern repeat. I did 17 repeats: 17 repeats x 11 beads per repeat = 187 beads per sock x 2 socks = 374 beads total. This particular yarn is over 500 yards per ball, so you can string all the beads on the one ball before you start knitting. Or you can make two balls from the yarn and string half the beads on each if you want to do two socks at the same time - knitters choice! Glad you asked, Janice, because I hadn't figured the bead count since Interweave didn't want the beads. Now it is done! [For the small size (co 63 sts), there are 9 beads per repeat x however many repeats you want to do.]
